Year, Make & Model

At left is a screenshot from Year, Make & Model, an express-train of a videodance project I made during a week in January with 7 college dancers at Rhode Island College in Providence.
I auditioned students, and began working with my wonderful cast that very afternoon, shooting 4 days later, in a local auto body shop.

The "premiere" is February 25-27 at the RIC spring concert, the only dance/film on a program of live dance works. Like Year, the other works are commissioned by Angelica Vessella, the visionary powerhouse who heads the dance department and its company of dancer/actors.

A very precious few of you dear followers have sent contributions via the DONATE button at right. Anyone who makes a donation over $20 as a result of this posting will get a DVD of the recent work of their choice. What's piqued your interest from reading about it here? My Feral Valentine? Where the Dance Is? Nobody's Darling? Aqua-booty?

Hint: You can see a screening of Thaw for free on March 1 at The Flea, so don't pick that.

Oh, and if you're reading this on Saturday, February 26th, Where the Dance Is will be screened at the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship at 4:30 as part of Black Maria Film Festival.

Oh, and Considering an Exhibition is showing on March 16 as part of Eye Am: Women Behind the Lens at Anthology Film Archives, so don't pick that!
