It's been selected to screen in more than 50 festivals world-wide, has won various awards, and still touches hearts, though its leading lady, Aileen Passloff, is no longer with us.

Later in November there's an opportunity to see 2 world premieres locally. YoFiFest in Yonkers has shown at least one of my shorts for every year of its decade+ of programming. An easy train ride from Grand Central.

What the Water Means: A Year at Rockland Lake (trailer)

Shot on my cellphone while biking around the public park near where I live, Water features an anonymous cast of wonderful humans. Not a dance film, not a nature journal, but a bit of both, with music by Emily Holden.
